Jaya Sharma - A passionate Kathak dancer with roots deeply embedded in classical Indian dance, Jaya Sharma is a remarkable artist who began her extraordinary journey at the tender age of 5. Trained under prestigious gurus from the Lucknow and Banaras Gharanas, including her own mother Mrs. Dhira Ojha and Guru Manu Lal Misra, Sharma has transformed her early childhood passion into a distinguished dance career.
Her academic and artistic excellence shines through her numerous achievements, including winning the 1st place in the Western Railways Classical Dance Competition in 1987 and the 1st prize at the Zonal Youth Festival in 1992 while representing Banaras Hindu University.
Beyond her competitive successes, Sharma has mesmerized audiences with her captivating performances in Thumari, Tarana, and diverse compositions ranging from Rajasthani folk to Krishna Leela, showcasing her versatility and deep understanding of classical Indian dance traditions
