Dhurandhar: The Revenge

Review: 3.0/5

About The Movie:

Dhurandhar The Revenge introduces Jaskirat Singh Rangi, tracing the chain of events that compel him to become Hamza Ali Mazari, and follows his rise as he operates deep inside Pakistan.

The film is set to return this time in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

Critics Review :Ranveer Singh, who was slightly overshadowed in the first part, truly gets his moment to shine in Dhurandhar 2 (The Revenge)—and he makes the most of it. The actor has delivered many memorable performances in the past, but this one stands out. His portrayal, especially in the emotional scenes, is deeply impactful and soul-stirring. Easily one of the finest performances of his career.

Arjun Rampal follows closely with his intense and menacing act, continuing his strong presence from the first film. His scenes, particularly those involving his father, leave a lasting impression. Sanjay Dutt enjoys more screen time this time and delivers a dependable performance as expected. R. Madhavan is simply superb and adds great value to the narrative.

Rakesh Bedi, who was impressive in the first part, is even better here. Sara Arjun may have comparatively less screen time, but she remains the emotional core of the film and performs brilliantly. Danish Pandor lends solid support, while Saumya Tandon has a brief appearance. The rest of the supporting cast also does a commendable job, with a few characters leaving a strong impact despite limited screen presence. Yami Gautam Dhar appears in a massy cameo that adds to the film’s appeal.

Music and Technical Aspects:
Shashwat Sachdev’s music may not reach the level of the first part, but it still works well within the film. ‘Aari Aari’ stands out, followed by ‘Jaan Se Guzarte Hain’. ‘Phir Se’, sung by Arijit Singh, is particularly touching. The background score enhances the overall experience.

The cinematography is visually stunning, and the action sequences are more intense and gritty compared to the first film. Costumes and production design feel authentic and add realism to the story. The VFX work is effective, and the editing is engaging, although the film could have been slightly shorter.

Conclusion:
On the whole, Dhurandhar 2 (The Revenge) lives up to the hype and delivers a thoroughly entertaining cinematic experience. The action sequences are impactful, the emotional depth is stronger this time, and the twists keep you hooked. With powerful performances and engaging storytelling, the film is set to perform exceptionally well at the box office.
